The George Group and Colin Dawson have over 35 years experience in the marine insurance industry in London and Hong Kong, including 28 specialising with yacht insurance.

During this time Colin has been closely involved with the yacht industry from local cruising to offshore racing, sitting on race organising and club operational committees. He, along with 3 fellow industry players, set up the Asia Pacific Superyacht Association (APSA) in 2011 https://apsuperyacht.org (standing down in 2016) and is now part of the Global Marine Business Advisors https://www.gmba.blue/ - a group of 22 long standing yacht industry specialists across 21 countries. He is closely involved with Hong Kong’s push to be a global hub for visiting yachts and works behind the scenes with both APSA and the Hong Kong Boating Industry Association to help them achieve their aims.

This experience has given Colin a wealth of knowledge to advise owners and industry alike on the ownership and operation of yachts. His connections allow him to connect people with the right people they need to be speaking with and to give impartial, honest and clear advice on a route through the often complex world of yachts.
