Crew Welfare

Especially with larger yachts the welfare of the crew is key to maintaining their loyalty. With the global fleet increasing in number good quality crew being harder to find it is in the owner’s best interests to employ a crew who will be with him for many years. Part of this is, of course, salary but anyone can offer more money to tempt someone to a new job. However, not everyone is prepared to offer awesome employment benefits to their crew and it can be this element that keeps crew loyal. Providing first class medical and accident insurance forms part of this. Crew medical and accident insurances vary wildly, in terms of cost and cover afforded. It can be extremely complex, especially as many of these policies can be a hash of travel and onshore medical insurance covers, not really providing an all round cover. We have long experience in this area of insurance and are well placed to discuss the available programmes.
